Communications for Learners of English

 

Course Description:

This course is intended for non-native English speakers who wish to improve their communication and interpersonal skills when dealing with their work colleagues and/or the public. It is suitable for those who have achieved an intermediate level of English or above.

 

At the end of this course you should be able to:

  • Understand the importance of effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Build rapport and interact effectively with customers and colleagues
  • Recognise and use different communication methods
  • Work as part of a team.
  • Use the correct language for the correct situation
  • Give and receive feedback
  • Communicate effectively using varied written material.
  • Manage difficult communication situations

 

 

Who is this course for?

This course is ideal for non-native English speakers working in the service industries e.g. shops, restaurants, etc. who come in to regular contact with members of the public. It would also be an ideal foundation course for non-native English speakers wishing to do any of our other FETAC courses.
