Team Working and Leadership
Course Description:
This course aims to give participants the skills to communicate with motivate, supervise and lead a team effectively. It is suitable for supervisors, managers or small business owners who wish to improve their management and leadership skills and understand how to get the most out of their team.
At the end of this course you should be able to:
- Appreciate the role of teamworking in the organisation
- Understand how teams are best constructed
- Develop an awareness of the different roles and personality types in teamworking
- Work effectively as a team member
- Understand the need for motivation in reaching team objectives
- Identify different leadership styles
- Identify the role and function of the team leader
- Anticipate problems and identify solutions
- Demonstrate communication and negotiation skills in leadership
- Involve team members in decision making
