Course aim:
The course is intended to give participants the basic language skills they need to survive in an English speaking country.
 
At the end of this course the participant will be able to:
 
  • Talk about yourself, your family, your occupation, interests, the weather, etc.
  • Give and take directions, make travel and accommodation enquiries.
  • Read a menu and order food and drink at a restaurant.
  • Go shopping, ask about sizes, colours, etc. make a purchase
Is this course for me?
The course is suitable for students with little or no prior knowledge of English.
Classes are fun and interactive and focus on getting you communicating in everyday situations.

ENGLISH AS A FOREIGN LANGUAGE (INTERMEDIATE)
 
 
Course aim:
The course is intended to allow participants to improve their language skills in order to achieve greater confidence and fluency in English.
 
At the end of this course the participant will be able to:
 
  • Have an everyday simple conversation.
  • Discuss Irish cuisine and culture.
  • Deal with a problem.
  • Enquire about, book and pay for meals, accommodation and public transport.
  • Give your opinion, state a preference.
  • Read and comprehend signs, notices, menus, short newspaper articles, etc.
 
Is this course for me?
The course is suitable for those who may have some prior knowledge of English but who wish to improve their fluency and confidence in understanding, speaking, reading and writing. Classes are fun and interactive and focus on getting you communicating in everyday situations.
