B1. COMMUNICATIONS

It is the policy of Belvedere Institute to communicate openly and effectively with learners, staff and all other stakeholders, ensuring that there is access to relevant, accurate and up-to-date information.

 

B2 EQUALITY

Belvedere Institute Mullingar is committed to delivering programmes in a manner that accommodates diversity, combats discrimination and promotes equality of opportunity.

 

B3 STAFF RECRUITMENT & DEVELOPMENT

Belvedere Institute is committed to ensuring that all staff involved in the development and delivery of programmes are suitably qualified and experienced. We also endeavour to ensure that staff have access to appropriate supports and further training when necessary.

All new staff will have access to induction training and will be given a staff handbook on commencement of employment.

 

B4. ACCESS, TRANSFER AND PROGRESSION

Students receive clear, relevant and comprehensive information about the programmes on offer and have the opportunity to clarify their goals.  Where applicable, accredited prior learning is taken into consideration.  Access is free from discrimination and entry requirements are transparent and fair.  Learners have access to information advice and support to assist them in meeting their learning requirements, coping with difficulties and progressing satisfactorily through the programmes.  In addition, students are given information on additional progression routes on completion of the programme they are currently attending.

 

B5 PROGRAMME DEVELOPMENT, DELIVERY & REVIEW

It is the policy of the Belvedere Institute to provide comprehensive, inclusive and accessible education programmes, which cater for the education needs of all students in accordance with our mission statement.  Learner needs are identified. Programmes are designed, planned, delivered and reviewed.  Appropriate learner records are maintained securely and safely.

 

 

B6. FAIR & CONSISTENT ASSESSMENT OF LEARNERS

Belvedere Institute is committed to providing a transparent, fair and consistent mechanism of student assessment.  Assessment will be in line with the requirements of the relevant FETAC award specification. Learners will have appropriate access to information at all stages of the assessment process. Assessors, Internal Verifiers and External Authenticators will engage in this process to ensure that we are operating in line with national standards.

 

B7. PROTECTION FOR LEARNERS

Belvedere Institute acknowledges that as a private provider of courses it is subject to the provisions of Section 43 of the Qualifications Act 1999 which requires us to have a policy in place for the protection of learners.

Belvedere Institute has made arrangements with two other providers that in the unlikely event of your chosen course ceasing or being cancelled you may transfer to a similar course with either of those providers.

In addition to the above guarantee, it is the policy of the Belvedere Institute of Education, in the event of a course being cancelled, to offer a refund of deposits/fees. A full refund will be offered if the course has not yet commenced at the time of cancellation and a partial pro-rata refund will be offered in the event of the course ceasing after it has commenced

 

 

B9.SELF-EVALUATION OF PROGRAMMES AND SERVICES

Belvedere Institute is committed to continually improving our services through regular self-evaluation of programmes to ensure the quality of the programmes and the effectiveness of the quality assurance system which supports it. Self evaluation involves Belvedere Institute management and staff, learners and an external evaluator. Evaluation takes place at regular intervals appropriate the duration and nature of the programme concerned and as directed by FETAC.
