BEGINNER ITALIAN**
What will I learn from this course?
The course is intended to give participants the basic language skills they need to survive in Italian.
At the end of this course you should be able to:
- Talk about yourself, your family, your occupation, interests, the weather, etc.
- Give and take directions, make travel and accommodation enquiries.
- Read a menu and order food and drink at a restaurant.
- Go shopping, ask about sizes, colours, etc. make a purchase.
Is this course for me?
The course is suitable for complete beginners or those who may have a little prior knowledge of Italian but who wish to go over the basics again. Classes are fun and interactive and focus on getting you communicating in everyday situations.
When is it on?
Classes take place on Thurdsay evenings, 7 - 9 pm.
The course will commence on Thursday 24th September 2009.
The course duration is 24 weeks.
Classes will not take place during normal Department of Education school holidays.

How much does it cost?
The cost of the course is €450 for 24 weeks, payable in full on enrolment.
Is this course accredited?
YES! Throughout the course you will be compiling a portfolio of all the work you complete throughout the year. If you successfully complete the required coursework you may submit the portfolio to FETAC for assessment. You will also do a short Oral assessment with your Tutor. If successful you will be awarded a Level 3 Component Certificate in “Italian” from FETAC.
